Making Awareness Impossible to Ignore
This project explores food waste through a bold visual identity designed to make a critical subject more engaging. Instead of using the predictable and often uninspiring codes associated with environmental campaigns, I chose a vibrant and contemporary direction capable of attracting attention before delivering the message.

This project was created as my final-year jury project for my degree in Visual and Graphic Communication.
The creative process began with a simple observation: in a visually saturated world, an important message can easily be ignored when its design fails to connect with the audience. I therefore developed a colourful graphic system combining expressive compositions with visual elements linked to waste and overconsumption.
The identity was applied across a series of posters, a magazine and stickers designed for restaurants, stores and other everyday spaces where food waste often occurs. The magazine extends the project beyond awareness, bringing together practical advice, interviews and statistics to help readers reduce waste at home. Its compostable packaging, made from 40% natural plastic, also allowed the production itself to reflect the values of the project.
The result is a flexible visual campaign that uses design not only to communicate a problem, but to make the subject more visible, accessible and actionable.
